Further Information

Why Install a Cotswold Cluster Flush?

The milking cluster is a known reservoir of bacteria responsible for mastitis being passed from cow to cow during milking.

With a typical milking routine, dirty or contaminated clusters are often attached to clean sanitised teats!

Sanitising clusters between cows is a recognised method of reducing the transfer of mastitis from cow to cow during milking.

Benefits of Automatic Cluster Flushing:

  • High quality operation independent of operator skill
  • Exact amount of solution is dispensed every time
  • No additional labour is required
  • Both cluster and liners are sanitised

Standard Installation Kit

A Standard Installation Kit will include:

  • Header tanks, water lines, pressure vessels
  • Timer control boxes and solenoids
  • Power Supply Unit 230v 50hz: 24v dc
  • Compressed air lines
  • Brackets

The above basic cluster flush units do NOT include:

  • A suitable compressor
  • Mounting Rails if needed in the parlour
  • Wire, Cable, Fixing Screws etc...
  • Provision of a water supply to the header tank(s)

Some systems may also require vacuum-clamp shut-off valves to be fitted to the long milk tubes.

Service and Maintenance

Servicing must be carried out in proportion to the usage of the system. Service the cylinders at least every 22,000 flushes.
